Dear Friends & Colleagues,
 
During the pandemic of COVID-19, the Asia Pacific Tele-Ophthalmology Society (APTOS) Congresses were affected greatly like other international congresses. The 5th, 6th, and 7th Congresses, which should be routine, in-person meetings hosted in Seoul, Bangkok, and Shenyang, respectively, were turned into virtual meetings. After all these years of looking at our computer screens for meetings, Thailand takes on an important challenge of being the country to host the 8th APTOS Congress, which is going to be the first in-person Congress after the pandemic.
 
The 8th APTOS Congress in Thailand may also be the first APTOS Congress that integrates meetings on digital eye health technologies and eye health systems together under the theme of “Vision for All with Digital Health”. We encourage ophthalmologists, ophthalmic personnel, engineers, data scientists, NGOs, etc. to join this Congress to share, exchange, and brainstorm how to make better use of technology to restore people’s vision worldwide, in particular those who are underserved.
 
The 8th APTOS Congress will be held in November 2023 in Pattaya, Thailand, and co-hosted by the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand. I look forward to welcoming you all in person after all these years of virtual meetings. Thank you and SEE you soon!
